Youth Achievement Award

The Access to Sports Project in partnership with Rose Bowl is now offering the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

The DofE is the world’s leading youth achievement award, giving young people the opportunity to be the very best they can be. The award carries a high profile and is widely regarded as the choice award for young people engaging in extra-curricular and community activities. This is great for your CV and your self-development.

Who is it for?
Anyone who is 14-24 years old.

How long will it take?
There are three levels of awards…..Bronze, Silver and Gold. Bronze generally takes six months. All activity is logged onto an online portfolio – where it is assessed, verified and claimed.

How is it done?
All participants must complete four sections - the first three can be done at Platform.

1) Volunteering - undertaking service to individuals or the community
2) Physical – Improving in an area of sport, dance or fitness activities
3) Skills – Developing practical, social skills and personal interests
4) Expedition – Planning, training and  completion of an adventurous journey (two days – one night)
