Information for parents, guardians and carers

Ages

Rose Bowl caters for young people ages from 8 - 21 years old in seperate programmes.

Open access

We are open access and children and young people can come and go as they please.

We ask that all children and young people using the centre fill in a registration form which can be done on the first visit. For children aged 8-12 years old this needs to be completed by a parent. Young people aged 13+ can complete one for themselves.

Illness or emergency

There are qualified first aiders on duty.

If a child young person is not feeling well for any reason they should not attend.

In the case of a personal emergency we will endeavour to make contact with the nominated emergency contact on the registration form.

If the building has to close for any reason, children and young people will be expected to make their own arrangements to get home. Use of a mobile phone will be provided on request.

Safeguarding

All Isledon staff are DBS checked on a regular basis. Youth workers also attend training provided by the Islington Safeguarding Children Partnership.

Our Designated Safeguarding Person is Clive Tachie who can be contacted on 07826 700700 or emailed at clive.tachie@isledon.co.uk

Support for Parents

We know that being a parent is not always easy and that all families need extra support at some stage. We are at hand to provide advice and programmes that can bring about positive change for families and young people. Typical issues that we can help with include improving school attendance, reducing risky behaviour and increasing aspirations.

Parents who would like to speak to a youth worker please email rosebowl@isledon.co.uk
